The Paco & Lola winery, founded in 2005, has 220 hectares of its own vineyards spread over more than 2,000 small plots characteristic of the Galician smallholding.
The winery is supported by 430 members (mainly women) who form the main wine-producing cooperative in the Rías Baixas. The diversity in size, soils and orientation make Paco & Lola a unique 'coupage' in the area. Paco & Lola is a young and modern winery, which is why its image is distinguished, in order to get out of the established and experience wine in a joyful way. Their wines are famous for their carefree and fun image, as is the case with their 'eponymous' white, known for its white polka dots.
The Salnés Valley is considered the cradle of Albariño wine. This valley, inhabited for thousands of years, is a privileged natural enclave for growing vines. It is an extensive coastal plain that is part of the famous denomination of origin Rías Baixas. This valley has unique characteristics that make this land a unique terroir anywhere in the world: a perfect combination of good rainfall, fresh breezes from the Atlantic, small variations in temperature and slightly acidic, sandy loam soils of an original granitic material. The winery is equipped with the latest technologies applied to the world of wine. The facilities have stainless steel tanks, filtration and temperature control systems, and an advanced bottling train that allow rigorous quality control to be applied throughout the wine production phase.
The combination of the latest advances in oenology and the experience of the winegrowers allow the maximum exploitation of the high quality of the raw material during the production process. the Life Viñas Atlánticas Project (Life + Atlantic Vineyards), an innovative project that involves all its winegrowers to minimize the use of chemical products through coordinated techniques within an Environmental Management System.
