Garnacha is a grape that is perfectly expressed in Rioja and Tobelos has managed to take advantage of the enormous potential of this variety to create one of its reds. The aromas of red fruits predominate and it shows good volume and freshness on the palate.
View: Intense cherry color with fuchsia rim, covered.
Nose: High aromatic intensity, excellent fruit expression and complexity. Predominance of red fruit, with a prominence of sweet strawberry, notes of scrubland herbs and spicy tones.
Mouth: Good attack on the palate, with volume and freshness. Balanced and long.
Description: Small plots arranged on terraces located between 450 and 550 meters above sea level in the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria, in the towns of Briñas (Rioja Alta) and Labastida (Rioja Alavesa).
Age: 63 years. Soil: calcareous clay soils
Climate: Atlantic climate. Harvest: The manual harvest took place on September 27, 2017.
Vinification: The Grenache is cooled for 24 hours in the cold room, in their respective boxes. We select all the grapes manually before destemming and vatting in small concrete tanks where they ferment at low temperatures and with daily pump-overs. Carry out the MLF in the same warehouses.
Aging: Aging for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. Minimum aging in bottle of 1 year.
