This breeding is the standard of Tobelos. It is a red with a classic profile with a mixed aging in different types of barrels and is made with the classic Tempranillo. Aromatic hints of red fruits and sweet spices with a structured and slightly balsamic mid palate.
View: Cherry red color well covered with ruby rim.
Nose: Intense, with aromas of red and black fruit accompanied by spicy notes, cinnamon, cocoa and cedar.
Mouth: Good entry with a balanced journey from beginning to end. Tasty tannins, integrated acidity and long persistence. Fruity aftertaste.
Description: Vineyard located in the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria in the towns of Briñas and San Vicente de la Sonsierra (Rioja Alta) and Labastida (Rioja Alavesa). Located between 450 and 550 meters above sea level. .
Age: 30 years.
Soil: Clay-calcareous.
Climate: Continental with Atlantic influence.
Harvest: Manual harvest in boxes on September 30, 2016. A first grape selection is made on the plot and a second one in the winery with a manual selection table. Vinification: Destemming 100%. Cold pre-fermentation maceration. Fermentation in stainless steel and concrete tanks with pumping over and temperature control. Malolactic in concrete.
Aging: Aging for 12 months in French and American oak barrels. The maximum age of the barrel is 5 years. Later it is aged for 10 months in the bottle. Bottling: It took place in March 2019.
