Since 1800, the Verlingieri family has been growing grapes in Paduli, in the Province of Benevento. In 1988, Piero Verlingieri took the reins of the winery and decided to replant the 18 ha of vineyards, adding to the knowledge of tradition a state-of-the-art technological support in the cellar, unobtainable in such small realities. To his wife Mariateresa he entrusts the marketing and commercial area. Producing high-level, long-lived and healthy wines with as little added sulfites as possible requires grapes of the highest quality.
In the winery, Piero uses a sophisticated optical reader that, after manual pre-selection, analyzes each grape to select it. Nitrogen prevents oxidation during soft pressing, and the flower must ferments in small temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. The wines rest for a long time on the noble deposits, which are capable of releasing antioxidant substances that make the wine very long-lived.
