Colour: still wine of FALANGHINA has a straw yellow color with greenish reflections.
Nose: FALANGHINA proposes to smell a rich bouquet of intense and persistent perfumes characterized by delicate floral notes with hints of ginestree, a Mediterranean flower. Followed by fruity notes of banana, green apple, pear and in some cases gradually fade into a floral and citrus background.
Taste: Still wine of FALANGHINA has a dry, fresh, soft taste with good acidity. Generally good persistence, sometimes with bitter but pleasant memories of pomegranate.
Harvesting by hand with selection of grapes. White vinification, thermoconditioning in stainless steel tank. Refining on yeasts for six months and further refining in bottle for two months. Since 1800, the Verlingieri family has been growing grapes in Paduli, in the Province of Benevento.
In 1988, Piero Verlingieri took the reins of the winery and decided to replant the 18 ha of vineyards, adding to the knowledge of tradition a state-of-the-art technological support in the cellar, unobtainable in such small realities. To his wife Mariateresa he entrusts the marketing and commercial area.
Producing high-level, long-lived and healthy wines with as little added sulfites as possible requires grapes of the highest quality. In the winery, Piero uses a sophisticated optical reader that, after manual pre-selection, analyzes each grape to select it. Nitrogen prevents oxidation during soft pressing, and the flower must ferments in small temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. The wines rest for a long time on the noble deposits, which are capable of releasing antioxidant substances that make the wine very long-lived.
