Los Quiсones de Tobelos is one of the Rioja whites that can boast of belonging to the new D.O.Ca. From Viсedo Singular. It recognizes the quality and particularity of its homonymous farm of origin, located in San Vicente de la Sonsierra, and planted with old Viura vines over 70 years old. The unique origin and its careful elaboration, with a fermentation and aging in bocoyes, barrels and stainless steel, gives a different, complex, fresh, unctuous and mineral wine.
Nose: It should be left open for a while to express its aromatic intensity, showing the flower and the fruit. Chamomile, linden and broom with a mixture of citrus and tropical notes. Sweet spice accompanying in the distance.
Mouth: Fresh attack, great volume throughout, unctuous, long and mineral.
Name: Los Quiñones. Description: Vineyards conducted in a raised glass with three arms, at an altitude between 484 and 506 meters above sea level, with a 24% slope in San Vicente de la Sonsierra.
Surface: 0.6 hectares. Age: Strains planted in 1950, although its cultivation is earlier.
Soil: With a loamy texture and adequate moisture retention.
Climate: Continental with Atlantic influence.
Harvest: Manual in boxes carried out on October 9.
Vinification: Cooling of Viura grapes for 24 hours in the cold room, manual selection at the table and destemming. Pressing obtaining a 65% yield. After adjusting the turbidity in order to look for floral notes, the must fermented in two 500-liter bocoyes, a 225-liter barrel and a 200-liter stainless steel barrel.
