Celeste Verdejo 2020

100% Verdejo
Celeste Verdejo 2020 is a fantastic and modern Verdejo white wine produced by the Torres family in the vineyards of their Pago del Cielo winery, near the Duero River as it passes through Villafranca del Duero. The term Celeste evokes the magnificent starry skies of harvest nights in Ribera del Duero and Rueda and is thus represented on the label of this wine. We are talking about a monovarietal that stands out for its balanced acidity, its freshness and its pleasant aromatic intensity.

Pale golden yellow colour, clear and bright.

On the nose, its aromatic intensity stands out, expression of the terroir, varietal notes of fennel, green almond, white flowers, anise, pineapple and lemon.

On the palate it presents a certain complexity, elegance, silkiness and firmness. With a firm and elegant acidity, the notes of mango and peach stand out. It is a round wine with a long and persistent aftertaste.

Celeste Verdejo 2020 is a wonderful young white conceived by Bodegas Torres. A wine made 100% with Verdejo grapes from vineyards located near the Duero River, facing north, cultivated on gravelly soils, clayey gravel and boulders. An ideal place that highlights the expressiveness of the Verdejo grape, showing here its most intense aromas.

Celeste Verdejo is the new project of Pago del Cielo, of the Torres Family in Ribera del Duero, and recently in Rueda. Bodegas Torres is a family winery that was founded in Vilafranca del Penedès more than 150 years ago. It is one of the oldest and internationally renowned family entities in the wine sector. There are several generations that have dedicated themselves to the production of wines and brandy. It is a benchmark in winemaking worldwide, in fact its products are exported to more than 150 countries.

To make this white covered by the D.O. Rueda, the harvest is carried out at night and the vinification is completed with the fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks, at a controlled temperature.
