The palate is powerful, fat and concentrated. Sweet and well structured tannins. Notes of ripe fruits such as plums and raisins appear. The oak of the aging can be appreciated with notes of cocoa and leather. Slight minerality from the slate. Lingering finish.

Very dense mahogany red color. Brownish hues given by the barrel aging.

The nose is intense and complex with fruity notes of blackberry and raspberry jam. Toasted and smoky notes from the oak aging are present.

James Suckling:

Blackberry, plum, and black cherry with some rose and mushroom. Hints of spices. Medium to full body. Round and balanced tannins and a fresh finish. Refined and polished for the vintage. Still tight. Drinkable now, but better after 2023.

Decanter:

A bold, rich and fleshy wine, layered with black fruits and mocha, firmly structured with a grip of tannin. The Cabernet Franc gives plenty of character, with its distinct pencil lead note. The wine reflects its slate origins with a mineral edge. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Drinking Window 2021 - 2027.
