Ramón Bilbao is one of the most renowned wineries in Rioja. This rosé is a safe bet with an aromatic range where citrus and red fruits appear, while its passage through the mouth is light and with good acidity.
Nose: It is fresh due to the aromas of citrus fruits, lime peel, red fruits and notes of white flowers.
Mouth: It is pleasant, with vibrant acidity, light body and ready to be enjoyed.
Ramón Bilbao Rosado is a Garnacha monovarietal, from old vines from Tudelilla vineyards. The elaboration of Ramón Bilbao Rosado begins with a late harvest that takes advantage of the cold night and low temperatures to prevent oxidation and maintain the cleanliness of the must. Once in the winery, the red grapes enter the tank and macerate for four hours. The must obtained is racked in stainless steel tanks where, after settling, a slow fermentation is carried out at a low temperature of about 14ºC.
Description: Vineyards located between 550 and 770 meters above sea level on different farms located in Alto Najerilla, at the foot of the Sierra de la Demanda. Soil: Rocky, with areas of clay and a calcareous level lower than in other areas of La Rioja.
Climate: Winters with very cold temperatures, snow and abundant precipitation. Philomena phenomenon. Hot, dry summer with rain before the harvest. Extraordinary month of October
Harvest: Heterogeneous harvest with great thermal amplitude and perfect balance.
Vinification: Contact with the skins at low temperature for 3 hours to achieve a light salmon pink color. After this time, the must is collected and fermented in a tank at a low temperature to preserve the full aromatic profile.
