The Ramón Bilbao underground bottle rack has kept this Gran Reserva within its walls for 48 months. We find in it aromas of red fruits such as currant and certain spicy touches. Its passage through the mouth is long, persistent and with volume. In addition, the cellar promises good aging potential.
Nose: Aromas of red and black fruit. Spiced and with aromatic herbs. Spicy hints and a certain sweet hint of nutmeg, vanilla and coconut.
Mouth: Long, persistent and with volume. With presence of acidity to ensure good longevity and a tamed tannin.
Name: Caramonte and Carrapaciña.
Description: Vineyards located in Ábalos and Labastida at an altitude of between 600 and 700 meters.
Age: Average age around 60-65 years.
Soil: Decomposed bedrock and sandy and alluvial soils.
Climate: Mild Atlantic.
Harvest: Manual harvest during the second week of October.
Vinification: The grapes macerate cold for 7 days. Fermentation occurs at a controlled temperature for 16 days. Subsequent malolactic fermentation in concrete.
Ageing: Aged for 30 months in American oak barrels.
Bottled: The wine rests in the bottle rack for 48 months before going on the market.
