In 2001, the pharmacist from Jaén, Don Alberto Cobo, decided to follow his passion for wine and create a winery in which to produce and breed elite wines of exceptional quality. Since its inception, Bodegas LLiroso has proven to have an international vocation, betting on the export of part of its wines to the rest of Europe, the US, Mexico and China.
The commitment to making great wines from the beginning has allowed them to be recognized by international critics. Bodegas Lleiroso remains firm to its principles, a winery with a family vocation, which pampers the entire production process, from the selection of berries, to offer high quality wines, with a limited production. Location The winery is located on the so-called 'Golden Mile' of the Ribera del Duero Denomination of Origin, in Valbuena de Duero.
Climate It is characterized by a moderate-low rainfall which, together with its dry summers and long and harsh winters, under a Mediterranean climate, make the area meet the optimum conditions for growing vines.
Clay-calcareous soil, with gray-brown veins and an alluvial zone. Vineyard With vines between 25 and 80 years old, where they carry out exhaustive controls in the selection of the grape, and of the winegrowers with whom Bodegas LLiroso collaborates.
The harvest is manual, in boxes of 15 kg.
