The Rosé Franciacorta DOCG by Contadi Castaldi shines in the glass with a brilliant coral color and a fine, long-lasting perlage.
On the nose, the Contadi Castaldi rosé delights with clear aromas of wild berries, fresh rose petals, hints of apple and tropical fruit.
On the palate, this Italian Spumante Rosé is structured, full-bodied, clear and lively, with a pleasant cadence of flavour. The finish is long and finely balanced.

For this Franciacorta Rosé, Chardonnay 65% and Pinot Noir 35% are vinified together.

The grapes grow in a microclimatically favorable place, on gravel slopes, not too calcareous, optimally permeable, with favorable air currents and sunlight. The grapes are picked at the end of August, beginning of September. Before soft pressing, the grapes are macerated at 17-18°C for 3-4 hours.

After cold static decanting, alcoholic fermentation continues in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts for a period of 20 days. A partial malolactic fermentation is then carried out. The first aging of the wine takes place for 7 months, partly in stainless steel and partly in barrels, after which the wine is placed in the bottle for fermentation on the fine lees, which lasts between 24 and 30 months. After disgorgement, the sparkling wine ages in the bottle for another 3 to 4 months before going on sale.
