The nobility of the Bordeaux varieties that grow in Mediona, in the vineyards higher above sea level, determine the profile of this red that seduces at first sight, with a vivid cherry color with light tones typical of its ageing. Made with Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine combines classicism and modernity. It shows, at the same time, maturity and freshness, leaving elegant menthol notes after passing through the mouth and retronasally. It also stands out for its roundness, good acidity and clear notes that reveal its aging in fine-grained French oak barrels.

The aromatic expression is intense and deep, with a complex palette of nuances, among which the notes of ripe red fruit, spices and roasted nuts stand out, on a rich background of noble woods.

The passage through the mouth is unctuous and opulent, with good intensity and concentration and a persistent finish marked by spicy memories. The tannins, ripe and well outlined, augur a long life in the bottle.

Casa Casa Vella d'Espiells is a red wine made in the D.O. Penedés by the Juvé & Camps winery. The winery is located in San Sadurní d'Anoia, a town in the Alt Penedès (Barcelona). Casa Vella d'Espiells is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon (85%) and Merlot (15%) varieties.

The grapes come from vineyards over 20 years old, from the Finca Mediona, located in the highlands of the Alt Penedès, where the vineyard grows above 650 meters above sea level. Casa Vella d'Espiells is aged for 12 months in French and American oak barrels, before spending another 2 years in bottle.
