The oenologist Sergio Ávila directs this Ramón Bilbao project in Ribera del Duero. To make his wines in this prestigious denomination of origin, he uses several fundamental premises.

These premises are based, mainly, on listening, caring for and respecting the vineyard, which allows it to produce wines that are very faithful to the terroir of the area. Ávila thinks that the land will repay us the treatment that we give it; thus, if we take care of nature, it will take care of us, as well as the vineyards of the winery.

Similarly, he is convinced that the taste, color and aroma of a wine is determined exclusively by the action of nature, so seeking a connection between the land, space and people is essential to achieve a total balance with the vineyard. The winery also understands as a fundamental pillar of viticulture that everything that comes out of the land must return to it, which is why they claim its values, respect for nature and the practice of sustainable cultivation.

The work of this house is based on the observation of their vineyards to be able to interpret the needs of their land, which allows them to obtain wines where the protagonist is the terroir.
