A Friulian family of firm, visionary people who have been cultivating the land for three generations without ceasing to look beyond. A small local production that has grown, step by step, to become today a synonym of excellence at international level.

A crossroads of waters, lands and peoples, the SIRCH vineyards concentrate the immense wealth of different histories and topographies in a single area. On the right the Judrio river marks the Italian-Slovenian border, on the left the Natisone river outlines the renowned Friuli Colli Orientali DOC area.

Smacked in the middle between these two waterways - amid the municipalities of Cividale del Friuli, Prepotto and Premariacco (Orsaria) Italy - SIRCH thus unites, under its label, a long history of topographical and cultural boundaries.

Autochthonous varieties alternate with international ones, a combination of experience with research and the classic-modern character distinguishes SIRCH wines.
The whites, the pride of Friuli - Italy, sit alongside the structured
and complex reds.

The common denominator is the terroir with its high-quality standards, now sought after and well known abroad

The SIRCH Estate belongs to the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC. This territory embraces all the eastern hilly area of Udine’s province. The heights, between 100 and 350 above sea level, are homogeneous either for their climate condition and their geological age origin.

The Julian Alps, at the back, protect the area from the cold winds of North; while the Adriatic sea at the front, guarantees a beneficial and constant ventilation. The soil , locally called “ponca”, is composed of alternate marls (limestone clay ) and sandstone (calcified sands) dated from the Eocene Age.

This is where the main character of the wines comes from: its bold structure, its elegance, its salinity and balance, all sustained by a very long aromatic finish.

Among the Friuli Colli Orientali DOC, the grape varieties grown by SIRCH are among the most representative ones.

The most modern varieties, even though they have been present since the half of 19th century – like Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Traminer of the whites and Pinot Nero, Merlot  of the reds – include the precious autochthonous varieties: Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Schioppettino and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso.

In the ancient village of Cladrecis, in the municipality of Prepotto, we produce our most important wines. Structured, complex and age-worthy the Cladrecis Chardonnay and the Cladrecis Rosso composed of Merlot and Pignolo grapes (an ancient native grape variety of Friuli).
