Celeste Roble 2020 is the latest vintage of the youngest red wine from Pago del Cielo, the Valladolid winery with which the Torres family 'debuted' outside of Catalonia in 2003. Ribera del Duero was then the first step in the expansion strategy of the famous winery group to other prestigious national denominations of origin that would come later such as Rioja, Rías Baixas or Rueda.
True to its philosophy, the Torres family located a unique plot on which to strengthen its riverside project: Fompedraza, an exceptional terroir of limestone and clay soils, located at an altitude of almost 900 meters above sea level, near the Duraton River and Peñafiel. That is where the Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) strains grow that gave rise to Celeste Roble 2020, a red that, despite its youth, exhibits an interesting richness, thanks to its 4 months of aging in three different types of oak barrels ( French, American and European)
